2008 - Artificial REEF is a Success

Lots of Spectators were singing "we are the champions" as the TDA team under the Lead of Rainer Gottwald and Jens Hofacker from Aquadivers, such as Khun Nui with the Royal Thai Navy Seals sunk down very successful the first Dakota C47 on 2.34 PM on 24.11.2008, such as the second Dakota C 47 on 25.11.2008 at 4.30 PM.



TDAs technical Committee CEO Rainer Gottwald and TDA Chief Examiner Jens Hofacker inspected the grounded Dakota Fish Attraction Device and found already lots of Barracudas, Schools of Snappers, and other Andaman sea Species, such as the beautiful Cuttle fish laying its eggs already in the D2 name sunken Plane.



Everyone is very happy and all is going well according to plan for the grand opening on November 29th.

 

 

2008 - Phuket Governer DIVES WITH AQUADIVERS

Phuket Governor Dr. Preecha Ruangjai goes SCUBA with TDA Academy Aqua Divers Nai Thon



At TDA Chief Examiner Academy Aqua Divers Nai Thon he enjoyed the first day of training with the TDA Course Director Khun Nui and former Navy Seal and TDA Instructor Khun Tong under the supervision of TDA Chief Examiner Jens Hofacker and TDA CEO/Technical Committee Rainer Gottwald from Aquadivers.

The 2 TDA Instructors will train Dr. Preecha to be a TDA / CMAS 1 Star Diver, because the Governor want to know more about the UW world around Phuket and the Andaman Sea.
 


Especially the TDA Artificial Reef Project in front of Bang Tai Bay has the Governors interest and he will be diving with the TDA team on the 29th of November to celebrate the grand opening of the TDA Coral Reef Squadron.

2008 - We have A New Nitrox Facilty

 

In November the new Nitrox Mixing Facilty of AQUADIVERS will be installed and so we can make you some more attractice offers.

 

 

2008 - Year of the Reef

In November 2008 the TDA Team under supervison of Rainer Gottwald will sink five Dakota Airplanes and five Sikorski Helicopters in front of Bang Tao Beach / Phuket to build a new reef.

This is the beginning of the Ban Tao TDA Wreck Park, another step towards the TDAs idea to insall artificial reefs from Kao Lak down to Ko Lanta.

The opening ceremony had to be postponed for weather and wave conditions to November 2008. After these palnes and helicopters the TDA has permission to sink Wagons and ships.

Scientific Consultants for this projects are the TDA board memebers Dr. Hansa Chansan (President TDA Scientific), Mr. Niphon Pngsawwan (Vice President) und Dr.Wolfgang Baltus (Marine biologist).
